Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters,

OUR PURPOSE

The purpose of the Nominating Committee is to present the names of members to the Session for consideration of election, installation, and/or ordination to the Session, Deacons, or any other office as needed.
 
We seek to nominate qualified individuals that are willing and able to serve as an appropriate and faithful elder or deacon.
  
NOMINATING COMMITTEE DUTIES 
 
Receive suggestions for nominations to elected offices.
 
Meet with the Session for purposes of filling any vacancy on the Session or Deacons.
 
Be familiar with all members of the congregation.
 
Make personal contact with nominees allowing sufficient time to interview each nominee.
 
Contact nominees in a timely order allowing the nominee sufficient time to consider elected office duties, obligations, and responsibilities.
 
Seek counsel and advice of the Pastor.
 
Be familiar with job description and requirements of each elected office position.
 
Be familiar with the purpose and mission of the Session and Deacons.
 
Prepare written job description for nominees to be shared with them when contacted.
 
Be knowledgeable of eligibility requirements for Session members and Deacons in accordance with the Book of Order (PCUSA) and Church by-laws.

What can you do to help us?
 
Acknowledge leadership skills in fellow members of the Congregation.
 
Suggest names of potential nominees to the Nominating Committee.
 
Encourage spiritual growth and development for all.
 
Be respectful to those elected to office.
 
Prayerfully consider accepting a personal nomination to office.
 
Pray for all Church leadership to have wisdom, courage, strength, kindness, and perseverance.

The Nominating Committee comes together for meetings at minimum two times per year or if special request is made by the Session.
