Dear Brigantine Friends, We are writing to you as a member of the Brigantine Community to ask if you would make a donation to help us "RAISE THE ROOF" of our building on 15th St. so that we can keep serving Brigantine! The flat roof over the back section of our building has run its course and it has come time to "RAISE THE ROOF!" We plan to raise our roof up like the city did on the old section of Central School which is the present City Office building. The cost to "RAISE THE ROOF" is $60,000. We have $20,000 in hand and the plan is to begin construction this Spring. Why should you support a particular church? There are a great number of reasons why it would be wise to help us continue to be God's Presbyterians here in Brigantine: We put our building to work in mission for the sake of all people, to show God's love. The True Spirit Coalition of Brigantine sponsors a food pantry that is located in our building. This outlet of the S. Jersey Foodbank is available to help anyone who is hungry, all year long. 12 Step groups like AA, NA, and GA use our building seven days a week. Other groups like Weight Watchers, Girl Scouts, other organizations and families often use the facility. The Thrift Shop on 15th Street recycles thousands of pounds of clothing, knick knacks and furniture, providing help for those in need and bargains for those who like to save ... and it prevents /all that "stuff' from ending up in a landfill. Crossroads is a Junior High and Senior High Youth program open to all Brigantine youth regardless of race, class OR faith. Crossroads exists because we love our young people and we have pledged to be there to listen and assist them as they make important decisions. Out of our ministry comes support for the South Jersey Cancer Fund, Sister Jean's Kitchen in Atlantic City, and the Mustard Seed Academy in Lukaya, Uganda. We equip leaders to do good works in their own families, work place, community organizations, and wherever they may go. We hope you will agree that having the COMMUNITY Presbyterian Church of BRIGANTINE functioning at full strength at 15th and Brigantine Avenue is a good thing and we hope you will see fit to make a donation so that we can "RAISE THE ROOF" this Spring.
