Uganda Mission at  Work

Mission Success Stories
Below you will find a variety of pictures recenty taken in Uganda during a Mission trip of Real Partners Uganda.

This first group of photos show cooking in the old kitchen when the RPU group arrived in late February.  At the time, construction was underway on the new kitchen.

Shown in during its constrution and semi-completed form in the next photos, the new kitchen begin to take shape.

Inside the new kitchen our two cooks and kids stand in front of the new Ugastoves, very high-efficiency, low polluting wood stoves that use half the wood of the old method, cook much faster and are vented properly to eliminate the smokey environment in the old kitchen.  This is obviously much healthier for the cooks and their kids.  Purchase of the stoves was funded in part by a donation of $2,000 from the Peacemaking Fund of Community Presbyterian Church.  There can be no peace for the poor until food security (knowing that you will eat each day) is achieved. The cooks, other staff members and children of Mustard Seed Academy are extremely grateful for the gift from our church, and they are reminded of that generosity every day as they file pass the open window on the right side of the building through which food is being served.
