Plan for live congregate worship during COVID-19 Pandemic

Adopted by Session on March 25th, 2021 as an addendum to Building Use Policy

MASKS TO BE WORN BY ALL

Those members, friends, and guests who wish to attend live worship at the Community Presbyterian Church of Brigantine shall be required to wear masks from the time they leave their automobile prior to the service to the time they re-enter their automobile after the service. Signs regarding the policy for wearing masks shall be posted both on and in the building.

 

ENTERING THE BUILDING FOR WORSHIP

A volunteer will be stationed at the entrance door off the 15th Street parking lot in order to ask participants to sign in with their names and phone number. Anyone attending services will also have their temperature checked and will be asked to fill out a short survey regarding their exposure to or symptoms of COVID-19.  The number of people to be in the Sanctuary or Fellowship Hall will be limited to a total of 50% of the capacity of the room or 75 persons.

 

There will be one entrance on the 15th Street side of the building closest to the parking lot. There will be one exit which is located at the back of the Sanctuary on the Brigantine Avenue side of the building. 

 

Once those attending service have entered the building and signed in, they may enter the Sanctuary at 10:00 AM. Everyone is expected to be in their seats by 10:15 AM when the service will begin and last for approximately 45 minutes.

 

SOCIAL DISTANCING DURING WORSHIP

Ushers will assist participants to find appropriate seating. One pew will be left empty between each row of attendees. Those who are domiciled together may sit together as a group. There shall be at least six feet separating one group from another.
