Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry is accepting canned goods and non-perishables. We are also accepting personal hygiene items for men and women, cleaning supplies and toiletries. We could also use brown paper or plastic bags for packing the food.

The Food Pantry at Community Presbyterian Church is a part of our Ministry that seeks to create a hunger-free community by sharing our abundant blessings with God’s people that are in need. Our Food Pantry is operated by the True Spirit Coalition, which is a volunteer organization.

The Food Pantry Ministry was started during the mid-1990s by Pastor John Scotland and a few members of the congregation. Originally operating from a tiny storage closet, the Food Pantry has grown as the need within the community has grown.

We are called to action by the Holy Scriptures to feed the hungry and satisfy their thirst see (Isaiah 58:10Matthew 25:35 NRSV).

Our Purpose

The purpose of the Food Pantry is to assist those living within the community of Brigantine who are in need of basic food and sanitary supplies during times of hardship.  However, no one presenting a genuine need will be turned away.

MAINTAIN CLEANLINESS -

PURCHASE SUPPLY ITEMS -

Inventory items, assemble lists, and purchase items needed for supply that have not otherwise been donated.

EFFECTIVE PROGRAMS -

SERVE THOSE IN NEED -

Remember that our goal is to help end hunger by offering assistance with food and sanitary items to those in need within our community with dignity, kindness, discretion, respect, and prayer.

"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me..."  (Matthew 25:35) NRSV
