"Since its establishment in 1992, the True Spirit Coalition of Brigantine has operated under one basic premise: to assist those in need in a confidential manner regardless of circumstances.

 

The coalition goes to great lengths to help the less fortunate during the holidays, but its efforts continue year-round. Its mission epitomizes the concept of a community banding together for humanitarian causes with the help of businesses, civic groups, city services and faith-based organizations.

 

The nerve center of the group is the food pantry of Brigantine Community Presbyterian Church, which gives staple groceries away to anyone who signs up for membership, no questions asked, every Wednesday throughout the year.
