Dear Members and Friends,
The plan for re-entry to the building for live worship has been approved by the Presbytery (albeit with some details we are working out about singing) and it will go back to Session for a discussion about a starting date. Session meets on the 4th Thursday of the month (March 25th at 7 PM) via Zoom. Please let Session members know how you feel about a return to live worship. For those who want to continue worshipping on line with Facebook live streaming,
we intend to continue this practice at the Sunday 10:15 AM service. Let your voice be heard!
Plans for Holy Week will also be discussed at the Session meeting. The Service of the Shadows (Tenebrae) on Monday-Thursday 7PM or the quiet contemplative worship on Good Friday from Noon to 3 PM may fit COVID-19 restrictions well. A 6:30 AM Service at the Beach at 17th St. Pavilion makes sense too! If the weather is warmer, perhaps an outside Easter Celebration?
The Pandemic caused by the spread of COVID19 is NOT over yet…but the more folks that get vaccinated, the better. Karen Bew has coordinated help from the City, the School and the Fire Department office of Emergency Management to assist our Seniors in Brigantine (over age 65) to make an appointment to get the vaccine at the Atlantic County/Atlantic Care sight at the AC Convention Center. Call the church office (609 266-7942) to get more information. Meanwhile, wear your mask, stay socially distant and wash hands! Keep diligent, stay safe, protect others!
Rev. Jeanie Collins and Pathways Director Kim Grahsler are working with our young people to enact the Palm Sunday tradition of a parade (The Triumphal Entry) for the beginning of Holy Week on Sunday March 28th. The short film will be viewed at 10:15 worship and will then be available on YouTube with a link on our website and face-book page. Don’t miss it!
THE PALMS HAVE ARRIVED FOR MARCH 28TH.
PICK ONE UP OR DRIVE BY ON THE 28TH FOR ONE
Please join us LIVE on Sunday Mornings at 10:00 am for singing, and 10:15 am for worship. Use this link www.facebook.com/brigchurch.org.
