Dear Members and Friends,

Spring is in the air, definitely! Annie and I were outside tending to flower beds and weeds this weekend. This is usually the time we have a “clean-up day” for the church, to get us ready and looking good for Easter. However, with Covid19 still lurking, we are not anxious to get folks together, but you can still wash some windows… or polish the pews… or make some minor repairs… or paint some bare spots on the outside of the church building. One hearty volunteer took a couple of hours to run internet wiring through the church for better quality in our live worship filming… thanks, Pete! We are all ready to get out and get going… stop by at the church office and let us know a project you would like to take on! As we begin to open up (not just for Spring, but from a year of Covid19), you may be anxious to volunteer. Let us know that you want to help. The TSC Pantry, Sister Jean’s Pantry, Helping Hands and Caring Hearts (Member Care), or the Thrift Shop… there are lots of ways to get out, especially if you are vaccinated!

The Pandemic caused by the spread of COVID19 is NOT over yet… but the more folks that get vaccinated, the better. Karen Bew can help you get a vaccine appointment. Call her directly or contact the church office for assistance. In the meantime, wear a mask, wash, keep your distance!

Plans for Holy Week will also be discussed at the Session meeting this Thursday evening. The Service of the Shadows (Tenebrae) on Monday - Thursday 7 PM or the quiet contemplative worship on Good Friday from Noon to 3 PM may fit COVID-19 restrictions well. A 6:30 AM Service at the Beach at 17th St. Pavilion makes sense too! If the weather is warmer, perhaps an outside Easter Celebration under the Tent in front of the church-on Brigantine Ave.?

A short video about the Palm Sunday tradition of a parade (The Triumphal Entry) for the beginning of Holy Week has been prepared by our youth. Thanks to Piper Bereheiko (editor), check it out on YouTube with a link from our website and Facebook page. Don’t miss it!

THE PALMS HAVE ARRIVED FOR MARCH 28TH.

PICK ONE UP OR DRIVE BY ON THE 28TH FOR ONE
