Dear Members and Friends,

My mom was an incredible person. Jeane O. was a caregiver from an early age, an older sister who helped raise my Aunt Pat. My mom was a scholar, an athlete, and a musician. She valued wisdom and discipline. She was courageous and compassionate! To me, she was a great match for my dad who was a strong person too. My mom was our Den leader as Cub Scouts, she taught me how to ride a bike and how to swim. She attempted to give me piano lessons… and later made sure I had a music teacher. Jeane helped me research my first important paper in eighth grade, she made sure I had a job after school starting at age 14, and even when I was in my twenties, my mom knew when my heart was broken and she would comfort me without being intrusive. My mom helped put me through school by getting another degree in her 50's and went to work as our High School Librarian. When life offered any kind of challenge, my mom rose to meet it. Unconditional love, God’s kind of love, many of us learn from our moms. I’m sure your mom was very special too! Make sure you tell somebody about her this week!

The City of Brigantine has decided to move forward with plans for Summer Fest which will happen this year on Saturday, July 3rd. Our leadership is considering how we can best participate and what activities can we safely offer the public. Pam Schneider and the Administration and Finance Committee are asking for your input… are you willing to volunteer? Are you willing to participate in a large outdoor gathering on the 4th of July weekend? Are there new ideas for activities you want to share? Please reach out to Pam or Steve Van Note (Chair of Admin. & Finance) and let them know what you think about having Summer Fest this year.

Please join us LIVE on Sunday Mornings at 10:00 am for singing, and 10:15 am for worship. Use this link www.facebook.com/brigchurch.org.

If you haven’t joined us for “virtual worship”, give me a call - you need to join us! The CHURCH WEBSITE is www.brigchurch.org. My email is jrscotland@aol.com. My cell phone is (609) 457-2999.
